A trip out to Halifax in search of the new CentreBus services which they have taken on following Firsts withdrawal from the routes. They are being operated by a batch of new 59reg Optare Solos and four second hand Darts cascaded from other CentreBus operations. These Darts are only temporary until the arrival of four new single deckers, these are expected to be Optare Tempos.

Most of the pictures here where taken through the back window of a mucky coach so the quality isn’t to the usual standards

The 6th Ribble Vehicle Preservation Trust "Brief Encounter" running day held at Carnforth railway station

A selection of pictures taken during an open day at the Dewsbury Bus Museum. A number of buses were operating a free shuttle between the bus station and the museum. These included Arrivas Ikarus CitiBus DAF SB220 M819RCP, fleet number 29 and Enviro200 Dart YJ09CVE, fleet number 1066. Also running were preserved Lynx C920FMP and the museums EHL344

A collection of pictures showing the high number of exhibits in attendance at this years EuroBus Expo held at the NEC in Birmingham. Optare launched the new Solo+ minibus and Rapta double decker. A number of manufactures, including Optare, focused on Hybrid technology showing off a number of buses that are due to be trialled in London.

This collection contains pictures from John Fishwick and Sons 100th Aniversary depot open day. The day was one big event with four sites around Leyland being used to display buses and trucks of all ages. Fishwick had both their bus depot and coach depot open for visitors to look around. The coach depot was being used as a storage place for buses from the normal operating fleet that had been ousted from the main depot for the event but people where allowed onto the site to view these. The British Commercial Vehicle museum had a large number of buses on display while a number of Leyland buses and trucks of all ages were on display near to the DAF truck factory.

Stagecoach North Wests annual depot open day was this year held at Morecambe. A howl host of buses where on display from old to new. A special display of Ribble buses helped to celebrate 90 years of Ribble as well as a free bus services connecting the event to Lancaster and Morecambe town centre.

A trip to Blackpool for this years Totally Transport event held along the Southern end of the promenade. In attendance where a number of buses from both preservation groups and passenger operating groups. There was also hundreds of Minis as well as other cars both British and American, old and new. The tram services were being suplimented by trams from the older side of the fleet providing a regular service along the line.

My tour of Truckfest at Haydock Park, September 2004. Stobert where in attendance with 5 trucks including M1504, the first Drawbar in the new livery. Visitors had the chance to name 2 of the trucks on show. Other Haulers in attendance included WH Malcolm, Turners and Whitkirk.
